I am an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a special interest in oncology nutrition.
I grew up in Malaysia, studied nutrition science at the University of Hong Kong, and went on to complete my Master of Dietetics at Monash University in Melbourne. Australia has been home ever since.
My dietitian career started in the hospital system at Eastern Health, where I spent two years working with oncology and haematology patients at Box Hill Hospital and Maroondah Hospital. I worked with patients through chemotherapy, managing malnutrition, nutrition impact symptoms, and the very real challenge of eating well during treatment.
That work showed me something important. The medical care was excellent. The nutrition support was inconsistent. Women were leaving appointments without practical guidance on what to eat, how to manage side effects, or why their protein intake mattered right now.
That gap stayed with me.
I wanted to build something that did not exist in a hospital outpatient model. A structured, evidence-based nutrition program designed specifically for women with breast and gynae cancer. Something that met women where they actually were in treatment.
I am multilingual, speak Mandarin and Malay, and bring a culturally aware approach to nutrition care. I believe good nutrition advice has to be practical. It has to work in a real life, not just on paper.
